My career in programming and design grew from an early interest in fine art. In 2010, I enrolled at Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland, earning a Certificate in Computer Graphics and later graduating with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design. I also completed an Undergraduate Certificate in Information Sciences and Technology online through Penn State World Campus.
In 2011, I began freelancing for local marketing firms, and my first client was WebsiteGrowers.com, Inc. I joined WebsiteGrowers as a full-time employee, where I managed day-to-day operations for the enterprise of more than 100 small business and corporate customers. My responsibilities at WebsiteGrowers encompassed many aspects of the business, including user experience design, website development, search engine optimization (SEO) consultation, and customer support.
In 2015, I began traveling internationally. I gained long-term residency in Thailand while working as a remote independent website services contractor for a variety of U.S.-based marketing firms and small businesses. While abroad, I began pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science through the University of Maryland Global Campus and expanded my business into software development. I released several original applications, including a native mobile app for iOS, WeatherWorld, written in Swift, and three WordPress Plugins with more than 4,000 active users.
In 2020, I continue to provide design, development, and SEO consultation. I serve as the lead provider of SEO expertise and services for two US-based marketing firms and multiple small businesses. These clients trust me to demonstrate results, every month, in the form of rankings improvements and conversions.
In addition to SEO, design, and development, I also provide expertise in databases, website security, and website hosting configuration. Having worked with many small business owners, I am excited about planning, creating, and deploying applications that help businesses grow online.
