My career in programming and design grew from an early interest in fine art. I studied graphic design and information technology in college and began freelancing as a student. My first client was WebsiteGrowers.com, Inc. In 2014, I joined WebsiteGrowers as a full-time employee where I managed day-to-day operations for the enterprise of more than 100 small business and corporate customers. My responsibilities at WebsiteGrowers encompassed every aspect of the business including user experience design, website development, search engine optimization, and customer support. In addition to designing and programming websites, I am experienced in databases, security, and website hosting configuration.
Having worked with many small business owners, I am excited about planning, creating, and deploying applications that help businesses grow on the web. I often assist clients with little or no understanding of websites and am skilled in responding directly to client questions and communicating technical concepts to non-technical users effectively. In my roles as an employee and independent contractor, I’ve supported clients with services such as authoring step-by-step manuals for WordPress websites and leading website training sessions for groups via video conference.
While my background is primarily website design and development, I am eager to work on web and mobile applications as well. My goals include learning more programming languages and I’m happiest when working with a well-organized, positive team.
