My career in programming and design grew from an early interest in fine art. In 2010, I enrolled in the Graphic Design program at Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland and graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design. I also earned an Undergraduate Certificate in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State World Campus. I began freelancing as a student, and my first client was WebsiteGrowers.com, Inc. In 2014, I joined WebsiteGrowers as a full-time employee, where I managed day-to-day operations for the enterprise of more than 100 small business and corporate customers. My responsibilities at WebsiteGrowers encompassed every aspect of the business, including user experience design, website development, search engine optimization, and customer support.
Through my website development work, I acquired specialization in PHP and the WordPress content management system. In 2018, I began writing original applications and released three WordPress Plugins with combined downloads exceeding 10k units and 3k active installations. In 2019, I released WeatherWorld, a native mobile app for iOS, written in Swift. WeatherWorld helps users explore weather conditions by climate type.
In addition to designing and programming websites and applications, I provide expertise in databases, security, website hosting configuration, and search engine optimization. Having worked with many small business owners, I am excited about planning, creating, and deploying applications that help businesses grow online.
